 The Cabernet Sauvignon can be considered as the equivalent in red wine to the Chardonnay. It is a grape of intense color, small berries and thick skins that produces elegant, rich and sensual wines. The Cabernet Sauvignon of Puesto del Marques is characterized by its dense and aristo-cratic tannins, its intense color, its complex fruity aromas and its elegant structure.

Smell: denotes a distinct and pleasant personali-ty, especially oriented to aromas of ripe red fruits. 

 

Pairing: meat: steak, hamburger, goulash, stew, lamb and even duck. The proteins and fats of red meat go well with Cabernet Sauvignon, while its notes of black fruits allow to harmonize with several sauces of dark colors, such as plums, blueberries, wine reductions or mushrooms. Pate, lamb, filet mignon or game meats. 

Puesto del Marques - Torrontes

This grape provides brilliant white wines and has excellent characteristics both on the palate and nose and color that gives the terroir of the wine regions of northern Argentina, since the cool and dry climates but with high temperatures in sum-mer are ideal for this white grape. These wines offer notes reminiscent of orange blossoms, orange blossoms, rose, jasmine, lilac or violet, fresh grapes (muscatel) and tropical fruits such as guava, peach, pineapple, melon or apricot. You can also appreciate more ripe notes such as orange peel, nuts and other nuts, honey, chamo-mile and cloves. The balance between the acidity and the fruit flavors make it appear as an almost sweet wine being dry.

Malbec is the flagship grape vine of Argentina, the country with the largest Malbec area in the world. The most outstanding characteristic of Malbec is its intense dark color. The aromas of Malbec are reminiscent of cherries, strawber-ries or plums, raisins and black pepper, in some cases reminiscent of cooked fruits. In the mouth, Malbec is warm, soft and sweet, with tannins that are not aggressive. When it is aged in wood, as in our cellar, it acquires shades of coffee, vanilla, coffee and chocolate.
